Spuds Powell Quoted in Forbes

KAR Managing Director Spuds Powell shares insights on investing amidst the 2024 elections and how advisors can help clients through the election cycle.

 

“At times like these with heightened levels of nervousness, over-communication is really important,” says Powell.

 

He continues by sharing that since he agrees with aspects of both Democratic and Republican parties, it makes it easy for him to have genuine conversations with clients. However, he acknowledges that other advisors may choose to leave the politics out of their client engagement. In his view, “If you have a good relationship, it is okay to disagree with a client, even about something as spicy as politics.”
