What Do You Enjoy Most About Your Job?
I love investing and studying various business models. I try to uncover why some companies succeed and others fail, what triggers that loss of a competitive position, and what the warning signs are. It’s exciting, intellectually rewarding and humbling, often all at the same time!
What Do You Enjoy Most About Working at KAR?
KAR is unique because of the people. Everyone is a true professional, passionate about what they do and will go out of their way to help one another. It creates an incredible environment.
From a professional standpoint, I highly value that KAR’s investment philosophy closely aligns with my own. This alignment makes searching and recommending new ideas easy and natural as I’m choosing the same companies I would for my own portfolio.
What Are You Involved in Outside of Work?
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two kids, ages 16 and 2. It’s incredible to see them go through very different stages of development. With one we might be learning about colors and shapes, and with the other, discussing a possibility of eternal life by means of downloading a mind into a computer. Never a dull moment!
